Karen Knies has been riding horses for over 40 years. She started her junior year in Palm Beach as a working student, and trained at a multitude of places from show barns to race tracks. Karen didn't limit herself to just the hunter equitation discipline either. Over the years she also trained in western disciplines, 4-H, and Pony Club events. In 1995, she established Canter Down Farms (CDF) which is now one of Volusia County's top show barns. Her passion is instilling the education and love of riding into every CDF rider so they can confidently enjoy the equestrian sport to its fullest.
